PKRA Storage Container Rental

PKRA will now offer storage container rentals with prime pit location, spots 46-53, at Turn 8. This is your chance to have both a front-row pit spot and convenient on-site storage.

Container Details

  • Containers: 2 containers, each 40’ long with Each container is divided into four (4) sections, each 8’ x 10’.
  • Each 10’ section has doors, each door is 4’ wide making a total opening of 8’ and the container is 8’ so when doors are open, there is an 8’ depth.
  • Pre-Manufactured doors that have a lockbox that hides the lock to help with security.
  • There will be a ramp to help enter each doorway to your storage.
  • The floor is flush once entered.
  • First come, first served—based on payment received by PKRA.
  • Expansion: Additional containers may be added depending on demand off the front row and may not include a pit spot.  Pricing will reflect the different location.
  • You may use a generator to run your own electricity.
  • Target Installation Date: End of October.

Rental Terms* (*Complete terms and requirements are in the official rental lease agreement.)

  • Cost: $3,000 per year, paid in full when signing the leasing agreement
  • Rental Period: 1-year contract with first right of renewal. Renewal requires full payment 1 month before the contract ends, or the space will be re-listed.

Rules & Requirements

  • All rentals are subject to PKRA Rules, the terms of the Storage Space Agreement, and the MCFD/MCSO concession agreement.
  • Renters must have renter’s insurance and provide proof before occupancy.
  • PKRA is not liable for the contents of storage units.
  • Storage spaces may be inspected at any time requested by PKRA.
  • Certain materials (e.g., flammables, paints, chemicals) are prohibited.

Important Notes

  • No power or electricity is provided in the containers, but renters may use a generator when using the container for power.
  • Access only during assigned track rental, club public practice or race hours (no 24/7 access).
  • Renters must carry their own insurance.
  • Individual Members have the first opportunity to purchase through October 10th, after that the storage will be open to Teams that would like to rent the space.
  • You MUST be a PKRA Bronze member or above to rent a storage unit.

How to Reserve

  • Reservation Requirements: Signed contract + full payment.
  • Contracts will be sent starting next week to those interested.
  • For reservations, contact Treasurer James Wolcott at Treasurer@pkra.com and Secretary David Hilburn at Secretary@pkra.com.  David will be allocating spots.  And James will handle the contract and finances.

Spaces are limited, so act quickly! We look forward to providing this new storage option to make your time at PKRA even better.  Once 4 spots are contractually signed for and paid, we will order the first container for pit spots 46, 47, 48 and 49.  We will do the same once 4 more spots are purchased for spots 50, 51, 52 and 53.
